Infrared images are effective for finding a wide range of anomalies and damage in photovoltaic systems such as Hot spots, PID (Potential Induced Degradation) of the cells, short circuits of the bypass diodes, open strings.
We recommend conducting thermographic analyses in the following cases:
- Fire risk analysis and prevention
- Aesthetic anomalies
- Underperforming plant
The ideal period for these analyses is spring-summer, with a minimum irradiation of 600 W/m2 and a minimum ambient temperature of 15°C.
